I wrote 3 poems about my friends brother John, who hiked the Appalachian trail. I couldn’t get his words out of my head. I wrote them all at once on a plane going somewhere, I cant remember. I am hoping that some day he will share his stories by writing them down. I will share these one at a time over the next couple of days

Trail maker , story teller of another time

Keeping the stories locked up in your mind

Let them out, let them out to play

Allow another soul to walk your journey for a day

Trail maker story teller of another place

So careful to leave nothing but a trace

Share with others the adventures of your soul

Take on the bold and daring new role

The role of an era lost in this life

When all you carried was your pack and your knife

Trail maker story teller of another plane

we are hoping you’ll take us on the trail again
