This is the last of the three I wrote about John and his journey on the Appalachian Trail . I hope at some point he reads these again and is in a places to share that journey. I would imagine that many hike that trail but not all grow spiritually from it.

Trail maker Trail maker, your not finished yet

Not even close to repaying the debt

The debt that you owe to the faeries and gnomes

The little ones, you know , who opened their homes

The homes of trees and flowers and grass

The ones who allowed only you to pass

The mystery will stay at the level it should

But its your job to tell others of dreams in the woods

The little ones await the acknowledgment they deserve

Please shine your light and make ready to serve.
